that the Apostle is reminding these Ephesians, and reminding us through them, of the great doctrines, the fundamental postulates of the Christian faith. He is letting them know who they are, what they are, and how they have become what they are. That is his theme. All the major doctrines of the Christian faith are to be found in these first three chapters. Of course Paul has his own way of putting them before us.
